aftermarket lights can be used in place of the hsv ones

Mine came with my car...

Thing is, you need to have proof of ownership when buying HSV parts from a Holden/HSV dealer.

And they don't price them so high because they're worth that much. They do it so people can't make pathetic cheap HSV copies.

What a load of cr%$

I purchased hsv bar, all of the lights, spotlight harness, bottom tray etc, no issues what so ever, have asked for parts at several dealerships as well as Coventry's, not one has asked for anything.

I'm sure resellers like Holmart have to be careful so they dont loose their distributorship, where as holden dealers don't.

They're the price they are to recoupe costs of research, design and manufature of high quality, low volume parts, don't forget guys, a hsv is only a commodore after all.

I'm sure when there are some after market bars etc on the market, people will stop wanting to buy the hsv stuff, as yet, there is next to nothing available.

Apparently he is...

With the amount it would cost to do, think of the other mods that could be done.

just do lots of searching hoangkar
you can do it cheapish if you are prepared to do work yourself
and dont buy the parts through holden if you value a $ - they will rip you off
if you need any tips, shoot me a pm, as i have done what you want to do to your car
