Hi all,
Has anyone come across this manifold yet, the only info i can find at the moment is in street machine mags and not too much on the holly website. Has anyone found out some more info or even done some testing.

This is one of the most eagerly awaited bolt-on pieces for a long while and plenty have indicated they want to put one on - myself included. The latest info that I have been able to source, suggests an August release date.
There is a thread on this forum, do a search for 'intake manifold' and you'll probably find it.
There is also this one in another place, where the independent testing appears to confirm initial claims made by the manufacturer/developer, regarding performance improvement:- Street Commodores Online Forum (http://forum.streetcommodores.com.au/showthread.php?t=8524549)
There are also many threads on other LSx specific forums in the US.
Fraser at Speed Inc will be the bloke who a lot of us will purchase these from too!

Macca

G'day fellas,
I sure don't like rumors or spreading bad news. But the Holley corporation has filed a form of Bankruptcy under Chapter 11. It's a plan for re-organization. This company has been around for nearly 100 years, and I sure don't mean to let the air out of anyone's tyres. But I think it's only fair to let you folks know what I have heard and read.

At this point, I would not worry about any transactions done with forum sponsors. It could be a little bump in the road while things are being taken care of.
I do say this with mixed emotions, I would not get upset or my nose out of joint. I would look at this with a open mind.
I have worked at companies that have done this, and everything was fine.
I just felt it was prudent of me to let you fellas and ladies know!!
Cheers,
Steve

I heard this was done only to get themelves out of a financial arragement, they just used their legal system as a way to get it done as a lender had them trapped and would not move.

What gains are we looking at for a bolt on car or will results only show through in cammed cars?

For the VE's we don't know if this new intake is really any better than the std manifold or not.

Souljah - I'd imagine that there would be an improvement in all cars, but the amounts would vary - just like the variation of any bolt-on part, it may be engine and combination of mods on individual engines that determine the final result.
The manufacturer is touting 30hp and 30lb.ft in the midrange.
There is a link to a result in the thread link posted above that seems to correlate to their claim.

Whos we? do you own a performance shop?
WTF? I think *we* refers to the collective of the forum members, tuners and shops. You've seen some dyno sheets (engine or chassis) of a Weiand manifold on a LS2, L76 or L98 engine? If not I guess *we* are all in the dark on what it would do to an engine in a VE or any car with those engines.

As Jezzab said mate I was quoting the forum as a collective.
If you have any independent comparative information to share please let us know. I am sure we all would like to know.
cheers
