Just wanting some opinions from you guys on what you think of doing this.
I have the stock SS 18" on atm and one of them has a buckle.
I suppose I could just get another one but I really like how these
VZ Thunder 18"s look.
Wheel King has a full set for under a grand$, which is cheaper than the
standard VZ 18"s
Tried aftermarket rims,(deep dish) but had balancing issues.
I know these VZ Thunder rims come of the VY Monaro.
Do you think I would be lessening the value of the VZ SS by fitting these
rims on?
Click on the link and have a look.
Your opinions are appreciated.

the rims dont do shit to the value of the car long as if they look good you could have a set on it worth 5k or a set worth 1k you will only get what the utes worth

Thanks for your reply.
I'm looking at putting the rims on a SEDAN.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that in the title.
I`ll try and change that :-)

I think Wheel King have those, I`ll check them out.
Thanks.

ps, Tried to change the title of the thread but no luck I'm afraid.
Maybe a moderator could change it to mention SEDAN?

Checked them out, about $500 more and they are 19"s
I have new 18" tyres, so would be looking at swapping the tyres across.

In my personal opinion, the Thunder rims look better than the standard SS ones you currently have. If you like them, then all the boxes are ticked; price is right, factory wheel (no cop or insurance hassles) and your tyres are a straight swap.

If you ever sell the car, the value is not going to be affected.

Cheers,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew,
Yes, they are nice looking and you don't see them much on the roads. Which is surprising I reckon considering how differant they are from the usual Holden mags on offer.
The only other option I'd consider would be buying a new set of the stock SS sedan rims,(that I have now) and getting them either painted a brighter shade of silver or having them chrome plated.
Must admit I did like the deep dish wheels I tried, car felt like it had a wider track and seemed to handle better around corners.
But the balancing issues drove me insane, tried everything to get them right but always vibrated at 90 to 100 kph.
What rims do you have on your car Andrew?

Don't have an LS1 powered car, but the Mustang has some period correct factory styled wheels!!

Ahh, nice, what year is your mustang and is it your daily driver?

On the Thunder wheels, saw one today, red ute lowered.
It looked absolutley sh@t hot!
Does anyone on this site have these rims and can post a pic?
It would be appreciated.
