Hi All,
New to this forum and purchased a brand new VE SS around 4 weeks ago.... and must say that I could not be happier! What a good thing!
It is the first Holden that I have ever owned and would defiantly consider purchasing another in the future. It is an auto, however it seems a bit savage when changing down. Is this normal?

This is a hard question to answer.... I have a MY99 STi which is a dedicated track car and I am heavily into motorsport, I have been a supporter of Jamie Wincup for a while as he seems to a talented driver and a good sportsman..... but as for which team I will support now, I think maybe Paul Morris Supercheap Auto, as he needs all the supporters he can get!! Haha!!

Yeah, the right foot gets used as required, even when driving normally it feels like it hesitates somewhat. I have spoken with the guys that dyno the racecar and they seem to think that this would be rectified with a tune of both the ecu and the auto.... Has anyone one else had this done, if so what results can I expect?
Cheers

I had the shift points recalibrated in the tune and it made a big difference in smoothing out the down shifts, it also increased the shift up speed and took away much of the hesitation. It's worth it as far as I'm concerned.
