guys how many CLICKS (soft hard setting )are you using with your teins for street and hiway use
mine came wound up to 12 clicks thear are 20 all up
and it bites in on the front and pumps up and down (feels to soft) on cornering and lane changing at 100k + and is a bit skittish just normal driving at 100 k on hi way if the road has a few dips a cambers and bottoms out very easy( NICE TO ride IN THOUGH ) so i went 15 and have 5 left till max hard haven't tried it out yet ?? should i have the rears at the same setting as the front or can i have the rears harder whats the best for handling (hard all round )?

when they DRILLED the HOLES in the tub so you can adjust the rears they mist the top of the shock by about 30mm :vpo:so you cant adjust them from in the back you have to jack it up as thear is not enough room between the top of the shock and the bottom of the tub and the holes they drilled don't line up:vpo:

Turn them fully clockwise and that is the hardest setting. 16 clicks anti-clockwise is the softest setting. They will go more than 16 clicks anti-clockwise but according to the instructions if you operate them at more than 16 you can damage them.
I've been running mine on 8 front and back.

Never go more than 16 clicks!
Full clockwise is hardest, from there 16 clicks back is the softest. Yes it will go more than that but do not do it.

as has been said every time u adjust them turn them all the way clockwise till it stops then its at its hardest....then start start turning anti clockwise to the softer settings...16clicks MAX
0 being hardest
16 being softest
i run mine 6 at the front 8 at the rear...find it a good compromise

Did you get a copy of the instructions that came in the Tein box?
12 clicks off hardest is the most ideal comfortable ride, with 4 off hardest being an ideal stiff street ride. Find a compromise between the two that suits you.

thanks guys
no they didnt give me aney instructions and couldn't find aney thing on the tein site about settings ether
but now i know wear to start from (hardest)
and go back from thear no more then 16 clicks
from what i know now they must have been on the softest setting so no wonder it was like driving a jelly at speed :)
nice ride round town though will have to look at the new electric controller that is surposedly coming that will fit with out cutting holes in bonnet brace
cheers

Will the teins affect the warranty?

yes you need the EDFC for a while any way till you get it set up the front is OK but backs are hard to get at on a ute

Its not hard to adjust if the hole is drilled in the right spot :(

what about the ute liner??

what about the ute liner??
if you look at the pics you will see that the holes are off by 30 mm and it looks like they did that because of the ribs in the liner it is a PRRicckk:flipoff: to get at the adjuster you have jack up the back till the top off the shock comes over closer to the hole and reach across with your finger and try to role the nob around just as well its not hard to turn :vpo:

I run my Tein's 12 clicks from hardest for the street and I find them a great setup for daily use and spirited driving. When it comes to circuit racing with R specs however I find the springs rates are a little too soft and the bump valving not enough even when they're on fully hard.

For street use I tend to stay the same settings front to back, occasionally I have the rear two clicks harder. When racing the settings are different every day and every track I prefer different settings too.
It's all personal preference though and you just need to play with the settings to get them right for the way you drive.

well i got my adjustment sorted out now that i can get the little tool in the to top of the rear shocks ?
12 rear and 14 front round town and and 10 front on the hiway so it doesnt bottom out as quick
after measuring it all up i just drilled 5/16 hole through the first rib in the liner and it lines up perfect and just put a 5/16 grommet in the hole after you have adjusted it as thear is a factory hole in the steel floor under the tub any way
took it back to fulcrum for check and tighten AFTER THE THE FRONT STRUT CAME LOOSE and they took all the measurements off my adjustment hole so they don't fu^%$k up the next one they do

Is there any way of adjusting these without driling into the tub? can you jack up the arse and adjustment from underneath? those adjusters would last 30 seconds in my tub !
Doesnt all the ice water run out the holes when you use the back as an ESKY ! :nyuk:

no thear is no other way to adjust them as you cant get to the top of the shock on a ve ute as far as i can see looking under neath and from what fulcrum told me
you don't have to leave the little adjuster in the top of the shock all the time you just adjust and take it out and put the the little plug in
neat as
maybe ask the suspension sponsor on hear ??

You definitely only use the adjuster when you want to make an adjustment. I have the same little green top adjuster on my VY for the front and it always sits in the glovebox when not being used.

mate
you would be better off marking the hole and putting a 1/8 hole from under neath when your fitting the shocks
but the hole MUST be in the TOP of the first RIB in the tub
hear is the measurements of mine you must get all 3meserments to coincide then drill 5/16 hole through the plastic RIB
38.1/2" from the front of the tub
35.5/8" from the tailgate with it shut
5.1/8" from the wheel arch
you need a 5/16 hole as the shock is on an angle and you need a bit of room to get the tool in the top of the shock i was going to by an Allan key with a little ball on the end as they are good for angled Allan screws but the tein tool fits OK
if you need more pics of the tub yell out i haven't got aney from under neath as i wasnt thear when they were fitted hence the stuff UP
you can by the 5/16 gromet from autobarn pack of 4 four $3.50
cheers

hey guys anymore than 16 clicks backwards and you will run the risk of snapping the internal adjuster wich is as thin as a tooth pic. same when adjusting it up, if it goes tight at all just back them off then tighten them back up again.
just a friendly warning:)
