The Tein SuperStreets got installed today over at WA Suspensions. What a difference compared to the 4 mth old lowered springs I had on previously !!.
I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to lower their rides plus have great control over the degree of handling/comfort.
I left the shop on a 12/12 setting but I actually pulled over into a car park, popped the bonnet open and dialled the fronts back a couple of notches !. It was that easy !!.
The settings are now 12 in the back and 10 in the front with 360mm all around from hub to arch. So far these settings are giving me the ride that I want.

Cheers to Brad at WA Suspensions for the tips/advice and a job well done and also to Deano (EXCESSV) for his advice too. Thanks guys !

Does anyone that have them on a VE Ute know they have done a load capacity test? still looking to go to coilovers instead of SSSL/SSL Springs, but wondering what the load capacity will change to.

When Tein bring out a decent model.
Ie Mono Flex then I'll buy them.
Lowering a car by spring compression is not that good.

Mono Flex drop the whole strut while leaving FULL spring height!
Happy days.

But yes Coilovers are much better than lowered springs.

They are engineered as a factory replacement part for ADR approval, so will meet or exceed the factory setup.

My VY ute has around 700Kg in the back on occasion and has suffered no ill effects.

Are they any chop for drag racing, can the front be set so it rebounds or unloads.

Talk has been had about a monflex type. In the future it will be done, but will be more track orientated.

Also probably wont comply to ADR with the lower adjustments.

Hellbent, its not possible to set up the tein fronts like 90/10s for the drags.Ive been told that your best option is to dial the rears to full soft and the fronts to full hard. Will be hitting the track soon with teins in a vy ss ute so it will be interesting to see how they go on the drag strip.

With my Monaro running the Tein kit set to full hard on the front and full soft on the rear caused really bad axle tramp. I found 4 clicks from the softest setting on the rear and 8 on the front worked well for me. Including zero tramp.

I had heard that when you adjust the height you need to get an alignment done.

Tein Coilovers are definitely on my shopping list.

Red CV8 R,what tyres were you using?

CSP,you can get away with minor adjustments (10mm) max anything more will require a wheel alignment imo.

With the Teins I have used Bridgestones and Toyo RA1. My car is an M6 if that makes a difference.

Anymore than 5mm ride height change will throw the "toe" out. So yes, if you adjust the height, you will need the alignment re-done but thats easy enough to get done.

Excessv has been aligned probably 7 or 8 times now as we keep trying different things here and there :D

Is it hard to adjust the height?unload weight off springs by jacking car up and use the two supplied spanners with kit to undo the 2 big nuts and adjust away
