Best Brake pads for Wh V8 Statesman

Hi, I do a lot of country driving and find the std brakes are a little soft when stamping on the pedal to stop for a roo.

Does anyone recommend a pad upgrade that won't tear shreds out of my rotors

I like EBC Green - Personal preference.

I've also heard good things (a some bad) about yellow and red but have not tried them yet.
