I've seen 20x10 with big dish on a 03 Monaro sitting on its guts.
255's on the rear so it rolls the sidewalls away from the lip of the guard, by the way they were rolled dead flat.
Also running a bit of camber and was a close fit but didn't rub.
Gee it looked angry :flamin: :)

Have also seen a set on the back of a clubby, the guards were pumped slightly to clear as well as lipped guards

With a bad camber it does , good luck protecting the lip on the rim , stay right away from curbs !

As long as the guards are rolled flat or even cut and die grinded smooth and pumped guards they will fit..

I have 19 x 9.5 with 255 35 19 tyres on the rear of a VT wagon.

Offset is the key - I have 45 offset in the rear and it is extremely tight, but it fits, with guards rolled and pumped slightly.

Ive got yokahama 265's on the rear of the monaro
any more that 1/2 a tank of fuel and they hit the guards on bumps (which are rolled severely)

The 265's are on XPH Boost 18x8's

Out of curiosity how much would a panel shop charge (roughly) to pump out the rear guards mate?

It depends entirely on the offset of the rim.

I am not far off finding out. As on the next post down you need the wheels and the offset to guage the dollars.
Just a rough guess the panel beater told me was $600 to respray both rear wheel guards, $250 for the body work and bending as required. Leave $300 spare for any additional bodyworks if the wheels need more room. He said best to make the wheels fit under and in the guards so lowering pretty low is possible with your suspension for shows etc. The plastic stuff will have to me modified or get rid off. For extra $ new alloy sheets can be manufactured in there place to give the tubbed look.

at the moment ive got a set vx gts wheels on it and im not to sure on the offset but im thinking 45 and there about 1 to 2 cms from the inside of the wheel to the rail wall near the shocker so if i go in a little and then ad two inches of rim it should fit not to sure about how wheel sizes work but thats what i assume anyway. any wheel guys that can help!!!

Not sure if it will help but I should be getting some 18 x 8 inch rims made very soon. These have a +30 offset. The figuars the wheel place gave me compared to my old 18 x 8 was, 2mm extra strut to wheel clearance, and 25mm extra width towards the guard.
With 10 inch check the wheel offset calculator to give some guidance for what you need. Finding 10 inch rims suitable is another problem. The offset would be into the +20 region as a guess if you did not want to pump the buggery out of the guards.
If you are to get it spot on it might help to start talking in mm of clearance as you proberbly will need every mm to save pumping out too much.

you have to pump the guards. they will need panel beating. make sure your offset is spot on as well. if all goes well it can sit like this.

They were 35+ but had to get huss from ozzy tyres to machine 4mm off to get them under the guards, even after they were pumped. its pretty close on the outside, doesnt touch on the inside, havent checked how close it is but it wouldnt be very much. it does rub on the outside on full boost in 2nd gear when it squats, otherwise its ok. that height in the photo is the exact height i drive it at every day only i raised the front about 15mm so i can steer.

the car makes about 400rwkw daily drive tune, has made 458rwkws for a dyno comp.
