Thought I would share this little gem with you.
Car serviced on Thursday (30K service) and had to get the key replaced as it has fallen apart.
Get car back and out of the blue last night the engine now immobilises on first start.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Try both keys..no good.
Reset all custom settings...no good.
Lock car then unlock and voila..car now starts.
Must be a new feature of security....LOL

Phone the Holden dealer this morning who couldn't give a shit and said phone back Monday to book in.

I know it will somewhere in the reprogrammimg of the keys.....

Something to look out for when replacing keys.

I'll give you all an update next week after I blow the crap out of them for the problem and then their attitude.

There was a techline / bulletin i'd seen on a couple of occasions about VE keys.
Never read what the problem was, or why the solution.

Obviously the keys worked long enough to get the car home?

Yeah got home ok.
It's when you stop and turn off the engine and try to restart that's when the immobiliser drama kicks in for no reason.
