Ive had Sam work on different cars of mine over the past 6 years. ANd I live in Vic.
If you want a no bullshit approach to realistic gains then Sam is your man.
He has been at the forefront of LSX development since the LS1 was introduced back in the VT days. Be it header testing, camshaft testing or teaching the Yanks how to do a proper mafless tune. Sam has been there done it. Just dont look for him preaching his self righteousness all over internet forums. Not his MO.
Hell, if doing validation and performance testing for Walkinshaw Performance doesnt say much then I dont know what would.

Is there no where in Melb that would come close to Sam's work??
There are one or two reputable builders and tuners in Melb but you guys recon nothing like Sams hey??
Just curious was thinking of taking my LS1 383 to COME for a dyno a little closer than Sams.
What your thoughts??
Cheers Nath
HRT8 you have been making trips to Sams for years as I read I have heard nothing but good things about him spoke to him breifly on the phone the other day but you can say hands down nothing compairs???

Nath, I just re-read my first reply.
I've never said that no-one else compares to Sams work.
Good work actully speaking with Sam over the phone. He's a very busy man.
If you were looking for someone to blow smoke up your arse about how much power you could get, then Im sure you hung up the phone dissapointed.
My first reply was my take. "No bullshit - honest answers = Sam"
Ive seen MPC's work first hand and I wouldnt hesitate to go there.
In the past Ive used forum sponsors in Melbourne when it suited me. I still went back to Sam ultimately to fix the niggling issues they couldnt.
Ive also sampled Oztracks work and I was more than happy.
As for your choice to go to COME. Its just that. YOUR choice.
Ive seen some of COME handiwork and I choose not to use them.
Hope that clarifies. :goodjob:

Nath, there are plenty of good shops in Melb and elsewhere who do work just as good, or IMO better. It's up to you who you feel comfortable dealing with.

If I have already put the engine together and I'm only going for a engine dyno has anyone ever had bad experiences with COME??
Feel free to PM me I'm not in the game of bagging other workshops just want to get some feedback.
Cheers Nath

Had my old VY II tuned by sam and never had any problems with it and it made 245RWKW which by the sounds of things was pretty healthy. I don't know what sam has been doing with the L98's though, I would be interested tos see what sort of results he is getting. Anyone ????

Have not had the money to try him out but have heard nothing but good reports about him. He will definately be on the top of my list when I decide to chase 350kw. Go for it :)
