Desperately need help in getting parts for 2002 manual Zafira, need head, camshafts, lifters or reconditioned motor. Do any of you guys know places in sydney or Vic to get these parts. These parts are horrendously expensive new ($90 per lifter, each camshaft $900).:bawl:
Thanks in advance

Aren't they Vectra engines?
New engine cheaper?
Maybe http://www.hmgem.com.au/ Looks like you have to go to Repco to order one though.

The main Opel product forum in Australia should know a trick or two...
www.opelaus.com
If the engine has run out of oil, I don't know of ANY manufacturer that will bail you out, as they all consider it the owners responsibility to maintain their vehicle with regular checks, as stated in the owners manual.

I thought the Zafira had the 2.2 litre from the Astra SRI (L850?) which is not the same 2.2 that the JR-JS Vectra had (but is the same one that the ZC Vectra had).

I know, but i had the car serviced 10Ks ago and was due to service it again shortly. Cannot believe it would dry up in the space of 10K.
Thanks to all for suggestions, will try sites....this will be my last euro based holden as the spares are very rare (for this car anyway) and bloody expensive. Will stick to the local products from now on.
