Hi all,

I'm looking at lowering my calais and was wondering if anyone could recomend a good brand spring to use for a VY

I have a VY series 2, and dropped it 2 inches with Pedders springs. Sits nicely on 19s now.

Ride is firm, but you have to expect that with 19s and stiffer springs.

do a search mate!!!!!!
there are so many threads on this
i suppose the main contenders would be:
kings springs
pedders
lovells

or you could go with coilovers - more $$$$ but more adjustabililty

but the seqrch button is your friend!!

cheers mate

What he said!! Also realise that asking what springs to use is like asking what football team to barrack for. If you can afford Eibach springs do it, else the rest all have fans and detractors. I had King superlows on my VZ SS with KYB short body shocks and was happy with them. The ride was certainly no firmer than standard FE2 and probably a fraction better.

Assuming you don't mean including fitting and wheel alignment that price should almost get you a complete set, not just a pair!!

They cost at least double what pedders/kings. There is a few options need to call them for a quote.

Waiting for Eibach to get back to me on prices.
I don't think they are available yet for the wagon.

Apparently Pedders are agents for Eibach and can supply and fit as required.

What makes Eibach Springs better than the rest ?

They are the smoothest riding lowered spring out, they are the best of the best of springs, and are engineered to be the best quality in the world and I think you will find no springs better in the world.

They are of course German made and the company is german but now have branches around the world. Bilstein shocks exclusivly team up there products with eibach springs.

You get the idea:rofl:

Give GSAD a ring and ask for a price. I usually get all my suspension stuff from there because their prices are usually so good. See http://www.gsad.com.au/ Pedders prices are always so  :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

They are the smoothest riding lowered ..... they are the best of the best ....

:bawl: Thats what was said on these forums about the Bilstein shocks! I forked out for a full set only to find they are too firm for a smooth ride.

Two ways to PM (you now have more than 10 posts so are now allowed to do it).

1. Go to one of his posts and right click on his name. One of the options that comes up is send private message (PM)
2. Click on Private Messages near top right corner of screen and on the screen that comes up click on Send New Message down the left hand side of screen.
