View Full Version : possible to replace centre console on VE SV6 with same one as is in VE SS-V ?

hi guys

is it possible to replace the centre console in the VE SV6 with the same console that is in VE SS-V with the touch screen display etc etc etc ?

If yes, what do you guys reckon it would be worth including labor ?

prol not worth the money but im just curious ...

Might need to do some research... I think you'll find that they're not touchscreen...
Also if you have a poke around the car audio section you will find that it can be done. Adrian at No Limit can do them.

No VE I know of has a factory touch screen setup.

Maybe in the next series... BTW does anyone know when the new series HSV is due for realease :)

oh ok ... my bad then ... dont know why I thought it was touch ... still can the centre console be just simply replaced with one like in the higher VE models ?

or am I better off getting some custom job done where they will remove the stock blaupunkt head unit and put in something else / better ??

New HSV Wagons (Tourer and Estate) scheduled for release in November. They should also be using the new T6060 M6 gearbox now too.

Replacement = expensive (lots of customisation necessary)

Swapping with other models is possible and more cost affective, but will probably still run in to lots of $$$.
Especially when you consider A/C controls need to be reprogrammed etc.

PM vxclubby85 if you are seriously considering this. He will tell you what your options are.
