Hi guys

I know this is a LS1 forum but

I have VT V6 as a Daily and there is a leak not sure if its oil or coolant

Both oil and coolant are perfect in colour, IE not mixing (head Gasket)

but on the drivers side a pool of fluid is forming, from the intake manifold where it bolts up to the heads,

has anyone got any idea what it might be??

so far I have come up with: cracked intake manifold

lose bolt as it seems to be coming from it

or intake manifold gasket

if anyone has had the same problem or knows what it might be please add your comments

cheers

Coolant dries out and leaves a crusty surface or a coloured stain.
Oil is slippery/ usually dark and will stay there or spread like a slick.

That high up on block it would be water, Oil would only come from Rocker cover seal and leak very very slowly.

Mine has a leak aswell inlet manifold ,just adds to all the other crap that sits on the mainifold including the odd spider.
I think from what i have been told the bolts only tighten down so far and thats it mine are tight,at the minute i don't care out it ,if it gets worse then i will look at fixing it.

I might add this only started after changing to Valvoline oil wasn't there before that .
