Found a few modes on my car I didnt know existed, when trying to reset my service warning.

Held in the top two buttons at the same time with ignition off then turned ignition on and it came up with different display which I could scroll through and check out things like battery voltage, coolant temp, instantanious fuel usage reading, and a few other interesting things.

Got it up to a reading of 80+ l/h at 6000rpm. Good thing is I can drive around and see where my average fuel usage is heading. Putts down hills and reads as low as 4l/h.

After ya scan right thru to the end of all the different readings and the like it does make some strange noise and the display goes bit wild but doesnt do anything bad.

Worked in my brothers VY V6 wagon too.

Apologies if this has been covered before:bash: and ive only just found it..:vpo:

yea its in the manual isnt it? the last bit helps if youve removed the needles as the temp and fuel go to halfway speed goes to 100 and tacho to 3000 rpm help get them in the right spot...

If you car doesnt show digital speedo it has to be enable in tech 2.

Does this mean that once the feature is 'unlocked', you can select it anytime you're driving or do you need to do the whole process again?

Cheers

Whole process again, it stays on whatever mode/view your in while your driving along you can also scroll through. Turn the car off, and you have to hold em in again pick what you want to view and cruise around..

Not sure if it is in the manual, its pretty cool though, good on long trips just leaving it on instantaneous fuel usage reading..Did it today:)

I won't say welcome to last week, but you get my drift.

yes, it has been covered before and there is an old post of mine from august 2002 when I got my VY explaining all the windows. Same is possible back to the VT although there isn't much info available.
