Hi guys, Im the proud owner of a nickel SSV. Absolutely Love the car, beautiful to drive.

Im taking it back to the dealer on friday to get the suspension in the front checked out as im experiencing clunking noise on slow turns as well as a few other little things.

Tonight i noticed a faint creak/rattle coming from the drivers window. It is only faint and i tend to believe it has only begun recently, but i can only hear it when i dont have the stereo on. Am i being too picky about something so small? Perhaps im being unrealistic about the inside of the vehicle being completely(or close to) silent while traveling? Have other members noticed the same thing or is it just a common thing that occurs over time?

Few things about the car: has travelled 13000 ks, built july 2006, purchased last week.

Should i bother the dealer with such a small request?

Any advice or help would be much appreciated!

Cheers, Rob

Print this off in relation to the clunking noise...

Regarding the creak/rattle - you're best bet is to take the Service Manager or Workshop Foreman out to the car and get them to hear it FIRST. Or you'll go back later and all they'll say is "unable to reproduce proble - no fault found".

Cheers!

My window rattles a bit with my stereo on. Mainly when it is down about half way. Have you got a sub ? Even at low volumes it can vibrate parts of the car.

that sounds a bit bogan doesn't it !

Gday mate,
The reason the windows rattle half down is because inside the door holden made the parts that connect the window to the regulator out of bloody plastic and it wears over time. You can replace them but its a bitch of a job so try holden for a laugh i mean price. All jokes aside my ute is 5 months old and has rattles and a fair bit of cabin noise and from what ive read here its common.
But i hear where you coming from so try holden first if that fails search here.

Cheers mate and best of luck.

Andy.

Thanks for the replies guys

Thanks for that link CSP ill take it in with the car. Is there also on for the revised D rubbers for the sway bars? or can i just request that those be fitted? Sometimes the clunking is so consistent its almost embarrassing!

With the stereo on this morning i didnt notice the creaking from the window so i might wait and see if it gets any worse. I might also get someone else to drive and see if it occurs on the passenger side too.

Subframe bolts?

Sometimes a loosen and re-torqueing can resettle them into a better position without the noise.
