Hi all, i hope someone can give me some guidance with central locking issues. It is an intermittant fault. When i try to lock the car with the remote, it doesn't lock and the horn beeps 3-4 times. The only way i can lock it is to push the buttons down and lock it with the key. It may not 'play up' for 3-4 days and then does it all the time. The drivers door actuator has been replaced already.
Any suggestions...im really starting to get p***ed of with it.

one of the locks isnt going down. When you press the lock button check to see which one it is and maybe manually push it up and down to see if its stuck or something.

It does point to the actuator. they are quite common thing to go. Hopefully your new one isnt busted already.

You can try opening and closing all the doors, boot, bonnet incase the close of the door hasnt registered???

What he said. Also, once youv'e located the dodgy actuator/lock,you can try spraying some WD40 down the door lock - just in case the button is binding on something.

This has worked on my VT2 drivers door lock for years. Had a lot
of trouble with it whilst in the NT with the heavy rains there, a
quick squirt of WD or CRC always did the trick :)

This happened to me....WD40 didn't do it....Went to a wrecker and bought two rear door actuators.....did the trick.

Common VY problem unfortunately.
