View Full Version : Cannot use my ISP email address

Hi there,
I sent an email to the administrator a few days ago, but haven't had any response so thought I'd follow up here.
Since the change in policy to only use ISP email addresses, I've created one with my ISP (Exetel) which is iamsi@exemail.com.au, however your system does not accept that. I can't change my temporary password either because it doesn't like my existing email address, so I get logged out every few minutes and have to enter the temporary password again.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Simon

this is already a known problem and we are in the process of fixing this.
Everyone who runs this forum does it on a voluntary basis. So you havent been forgotten, its probably just been burried in the hundreds of emails we receive everyday.
Just leave your current email address as is until the problem is fixed.

Thanks guys,
I tried inputting the new address iamsi@exemail.com.au and it's still saying it's not an allowed address.
Thanks,
Simon

Gidday guys,
I was wondering if you could take another look at this because I still can't use my exemail.com.au address.
Thanks very much,
Si

Gidday mate, thanks for that, teh email address is right now!
However i tried to change my password from the temporary one to a 'real' one and I'm getting the same 'banned email' message I've had in the past even though the email address is obviously saved.

Leave the password as the temporary one for now. We will look into as by the sounds of it exemail is still on the no-go list when it shouldn't be.
Can you make sure your internet isn't showing you an old message? just so that can be eliminated?

Gidday guys,
I just wondered if you'd had time to take a look at this issue yet? I just tried to change my password again but got the banned email address message again (iamsi@exemail.com.au).
It would be great to get this fixed cause the login timeout on these temporary passwords is really frustrating.
Thanks,
Simon

There is no login timeout related specifically to temporary passwords. The temp password issued works exactly the same as any other password.
The timeout issue you are having is due to you not ticking the "Remember Me" box when logging in.

So when will this be fixed?
I still cant change my password, and since it has been reset I can not add my new email on here to subscribe to threads.

exemail.com.au is not on the restricted mail list .. it should be working fine. It always helps if you can cut and paste the actual error message ..
