One dealer (Pacfic Ford) is having a "find a friend" sale, if you get a friend to sign up for a new FPV they will give you $1000

Same could be said to HSV, selling a Brand new LS3 for 55,555 or something. I think all large car makers are struggling.

Cheers.

Does the 99c fuel offer from Holden apply to HSV as well? I'd assume it doesnt.

Probably not, but my point being that Holden too are chucking in incentives to try and sell more cars...

True, i spose it would be hard for a Ford owner to find a friend, seeing as they would have been disowned the moment they bought a FORD.. :1peek: JK

The terms and con's on the Holden site cleary state that it excludes HSV, which in any case who would run anything less than 98 Octane fuel in a HSV anyway and they dont make HSV's in deisel.

All dealers are doing it tuff trying to sell the larger cars atm.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Which means that you can get pretty much anything out of them for a sale.

i reckon its a good deal , and clever for all parties - everyone loves something for nothing .

Holden dealers do the same thing on an everyday basis, well the dealer I use up here does. Except it is a $200 bonus if you get them to tell the sales person you recommended them and they buy a car!

This is nothing new and lots of companies do exactly the same thing. It has been going on for years.

It doesn't apply to HSV.

Zupps in brissie has been doing that sort of thing for years going back to the old VPSS I brought in 1995 or there abouts. I even got $100 from them for recommending a mate who brought a car. Just mentioned my name and they sent me a cheque for $100. Lot of money back them too. Probably the same as to $1000 now

Toyota has been doing this for years as well..i've received a $100 a few times for recommending trades who have brought vehicles there...its a good little incentive:)

There is such a thing as an FG FPV??? I have not seen a single one on the road to date, and I am on the roads all day every day (truck driver).

I'm only in my car about 90 mins a day and I've seen a couple. Must be lucky I guess. Surely this tacky $1000 dollar incentive will move heaps. Keep a close eye out though. Maybe some of them are faster than you give them credit for....:stick:

Confucius says " He who is Holden Fan, hang around Ford car yard, sniff out buyers and say 'HI I LOVE FORDS, ARE YOU BUYING, WHATS YOUR NAME'

Go into dealer and fill in form with their name.

Apply Law Of Averages

1 week, 10 names, $ 10,000 = Harrop Super Charger On Your HSV..

Yea there is boganville. Ever heard of the F6, the car that has kicked HSV's ass from pillar to post in every comparo written since released. Now don't sook up and mention the very overpriced $150000 HSV piece because it's a full .5 of a second quicker than anything in the current FPV range. I suppose at $85000 more than the F6 so it should be.

Now if only FPV could sell as many cars as HSV they'd be doin well :jester: (had to say something in HSV's defense :))

Might want to check out the latest Wheels buddy ... :goodjob:

Handling comparo ... FPV F6 was 10th out of 13 / XR6T was 12th out of 13 ... the shitty old GTS managed a piss poor 5th place, beaten only by a GT2 / M3 / Evo + SLK55 AMG.

Not bad for a family car ...

I've been looking and have only seen 1 white FG GT (with blue stripes), I haven't seen any FG F6s on the road - plenty in the yards.

Infact I hardly see any FGs at all / I think I've seen more sportwagons !

I must say that the FG look is growing on me (the best I have seen was a black G6ET) / still has some stange angles though.

It is funny as there has been a thread on the FF about the lack of FG FPV's on the road as well. I've still not seen one and do roughly 500km of driving every week. Seen plenty of XT's and XR's though in both Ute and Sedan.

Eh? The F6 is a superb Aussie car but when it has been rated better than an HSV it has been by a small margin - hardly having its *ARSE* (we are in Australia mate, not USA) kicked.

What a typical idiotic response.... All I said was that I haven't seen any FG FPV's on the road... The Ford guys must be really touchy and insecure if they feel the need to launch such a stong defence for no apparent reason.

So what? Why not mention the way GTs have kicked HSV's behind from pillar to post since they've been released...oh hang on that would be telling a lie.:)

Anyway I've only seen a few FGs. Usually XRs. Haven't seen a FPV on the road yet.
