have had my car for two days now and want it for a third day to try and find the battery going flat problem.
I am going away for the weekend and now have to take the X-trail instead of the SS Ute. Bloody more reliable anyway! :vpo:
I'm just having a rant here....NO COURTESY CAR AVAILABLE EITHER!
I am going to pick it up in the morning before I go down south and lock it up at home and take it back to them on Monday!
I'm pretty annoyed right now...but the problem has to be fixed I know! :bawl:

oh man rocko holden suck major ass!! ive had heaps of trouble with them ay.. sorry to hear yet another one!!
My only advice is find someone else for ya servicing and only go to them when u have too.
Thats bullshit bout the courtesy car, i went ape and them and i watched the service manager walk out into the 2nd hand yard rip the 30k price tag off the wind of a VZ and throw me the keys!

Looks like Rocko holden is now called shacks? Does that mean Shacks in Freo is now Walky Performance?

The car goes back in on Thursday for them to carry on......I have a courtesy car this time.
If they don't find the problem, is there any reason why I can't take my car to another Holden dealer to see if they can resolve the issue?
It's a brand new VE SSV ute, with 3500km's on the clock.

You'd think they would have this sussed by now, still bugging new car owners, VE's been around 2 years now. Hopefully they get it sorted for you without too much drama.

Should be able to take it to any Holden dealer you want for warranty work. Same with recalls. Same with servicing unless of course you are locked into some sort of service contract arrangement. Take it where you like.

Cool, the car is with them again today. I have a VE sedan courtesy car. Hopefully they will find the problem today, if not I will be ringing Mandurah Holden.

Yeah i have had problems with Metro Motors in Morley.. ever since i bought my new VZ SS Ute, took it in for the first service. Get it back and they had forgotten to tighten some hose clamps so i had liquid leaking everywhere!! which is 1 out of many other problems with them!! I will never buy a car from them ever again!!

Rockingham holden is owned by the same people as Shacks in Fremantle, stay away from both of them, complete ****wits. will stiff you in any way they can and never own up to any of their faults or stuffups..
Kwinana Performance on the other hand is only just around the corner and are an awesome bunch of guys who always do what they can to help you out. servicing is still under warranty and are a lot cheaper than dealerships too..

Was it a GMH Part that failed on the strut or Pedders stuffed it up ?
* If Peders didn't reassemble with new fastners - which are toque to yeild or new strut rod nut - this sort of shite can happen.
Hence I would have back to Peders and not the the dealer to shove it up them.

I know a few of the guys at Kwinana Performance.......maybe my servicing will be done by these guys.
Don't get me wrong here, Rockingham Holden have been very helpful and polite but after 4 days now they still haven't found the fault in my SS that's causing my battery to drain.
OK.....The car is ready for pick-up.
Me: So how did you guys go and what did you find?
Holden: We did a software change and fully re-charged your battery!
Me: OK....Let's see what happens!
A software change???????????????????????????????????
MR GMH

Yes software change will fix it, i had it done to my car two weeks ago
There have been different bulletins about battery recalibrations etc. But it surprises me that they have had the car in the workshop only to do a software update.
I would have thought that that would have been the first thing that was performed..

I used to take my car to Rockingham Car Care (Repco) over in Crompton Rd - I did take my VS SS and VU SS to Holden on occassions but I was recommended them to be quite good compared to the rest around. It's been a few years since I was there, but hopefully the still offer good value for money.
