Evening fellas:)

As most of you are aware, the Maloo is undergoing some 'Mechanical' changes and i would like some honest feedback on what you think this kit TT BB Kit would be worth on the secondhand market...considering its only done around 1800klms'?

Please all jokes and tongue in cheek comments aside...i would really like to know some honest opinions and the end of the day..it may possibly be a very good kit, but its not for me.

So please...your thoughts?

Many thanks

Well it cost me $11,000 Lincoln - not including the exhaust.

Generally accepted fitting time is 2 days so say $80 p/hr = -$1280.

The tune should be bugger all but let's say -$1000.

The fact that the kit is second hand { only just } - $2000.

Should be worth $6720 I would think.

At the end of the day I reckon the market will determine it's worth.

Good luck with the sale mate - plenty of fans on here so with a $2000 -$3000 saving I can't see it hanging around to long.

Thanks Mark...yes i was kinda figuring the same...Gee it would be almost profitable for some tuning house to buy it for that and flog it off 'as new'....What average punter would know the difference? Sure there would be a couple of thousand profit to be made:)

That wouldn't be ethical Lincoln so there is no way it would happen........and neither it should.

If you can't sell the kit for $5000 in 24 hours I would be very surprised mate

WOW my car has been in the shop for 2 1/2 weeks and wont have it for another week getting a twin turbo fitted (not the gen tt bb). The gen tt bb's must be pretty easy to fit then.

Yeh I know Lincoln , Just had to throw it in early as we all know it would have come up sooner or later .

In all honisty I think Mark is on the money, you should be aiming for $ 5K + due to its little use & depending on what is included !

PS I wish LSX blocks grew on trees :1peek:

I'm still curious to know why you bought this ute if you don't like the way it drives with turbos......

At $62,000 with 2000km on the clock,$10,000 respray compliments of Holden,
Exhaust and Clutch upgrade versus a 6 month wait on a new one the Turbo's didn't come into the equation Tone.I sold the ute for what I thought it was worth minus the Turbo's.If Lincoln can recoup $5,000 for the kit then good on him.

What's it to you anyway Tone - why not just worry about your own backyard - Or is that what your doing :)

Why not just let sleeping dogs lie mate instead of continually stirring the pot.

I'm not stirring anything. I have asked Lincoln this question numerous times, but hadn't had an answer yet......so I asked again :)

I might add that if the turbos weren't taken into account then that price is a bit on the dear side....considering that the ute is now superceded by the LS3 powered cars. Just my opinion.

Are you sure the turbo kit wasn't part of the purchase price? :stick:

OK, that bit was just my little stir  Feel free to ignore if you like :D :jester:

Hmm.. Seeing as both you lads seem to be bright enough to figure out a price to sell the parts .... i'm sniffing another thread with a hidden agenda :)

Would I be right in sensing the banter re reselling wouldn't be ethical comments are leading to someting else.. another card perhaps..?:1peek:

(or is my conspiracy side overacting again....)

ok.. gotta go play with some fakies.. :)

No cards Pagey - I've left them under the table.

I'm over the whole VETTBB thing - wasn't for me obviously nor for Lincoln.

But there is a geniune bargain to be had - so cheap Tone you should buy it since your so convinced they are the be all and end all.
