I bought my M5 copies off them. They were the only ones of the several I contacted who genuinely wanted to help me sort out the brake fitment issue with the AP racing 6 pots. Great service and good contact. I dealt with a bloke called Mick.

ive bought a few sets off them over the years and have had one issue with the chrome peeling off with a weight, it was about 6 months old and 75% tread left, the bloke handed me the centre cap and came back 15mins later with a new rims and tyre. i couldnt complain.
The only issue with them is the waiting i have been there a couple of hours waiting on new rims/tyres when they are busy, but that what you get for low prices. I will be straight down there next time im after rims thats for sure.

I bought my latest set of wheels from Tempe Tyres and I only have good things to say about them. All the guys at Tempe Tyres are always willing to help = > great bunch of blokes and best of all, I saved quite a few hundred dollars as well (even with the tyres being Kumho Escta KU31s as well)

A couple of years back I was looking for some new rims for my Pathfinder, I went into a place on Parra road Granville, saw some rims the same as seen on the Tempe website, same price and all. Guy tells me they're owned by the same guy who owns Tempe. I ask if he's got them in the right offset for a IFS Pathfinder, his reply " offset doesn't matter on 4wds, as long as the PCD is the same". Needless to say I walked.
I cannot say the guy was telling me the truth about ownership, but make sure you ask the right questions and know your stuff, Offset, PCD, load and speed ratings, don't trust them with your life. I've heard of accidents caused by ill fitting wheels and incorrect load or speed ratings.
Do you think your insurance will cover you if you trust them and they get it wrong?

Yep but this can happen with any tyre store. When we had our VR 6 or so years ago we got a brand new set of Walkinshaw rims from Bob Jane and sent them over to a metal polisher to have them done. It was a guy that they used all the time. Now when they where done they must of been on the car for maybe 6 months and they cracked, all 4 of them. It took some time but Bob Jane had to replace them so we ended up with 2 sets of these rims.
I have had heaps of sets of tyres and rims from Tempe and never have i had a problem with them.

In this case I'm not worried about offset, PCD etc because I am buying the exact same set of wheels my car already has - the ones they leave the factory with.

Have they got a website looking for some 20" Supersports, not keen SS V rims ne more and with there only being two makes of cars with the tyre size VE and BMW 7 series I think 20" have a few more tyre and make choices
Correct??

So far so good with Tempe tyres :)
Buying a set of SSV rims from them
They will be machined and posted to me with KUMHO KU31s cheaper than what I can buy them for in this state or on Ebay with Nexen N3000s
Talked to Sam on the phone he seems like a top bloke:goodjob:

I've won the eBay auction on the wheels/tyres so I'm waiting on delivery now. I was the only bidder at $1200, +$160 freight which I'm pretty happy with considering a new set of tyres alone comes to $2340 at my local Bridgestone dealer. As long as they arrive in good condition (the ad said 'as new, 99% tread) then I'll be very happy.

I did think about looking for a set of GTS wheels or similar, but I really didn't want to be up for the cost of a set of tyres for them down the track :(

My brother bought some 18's of them a few years ago. They were chromies and they started to crack and peel after 6 months. We went back to and they didn't want to hear about it and accussed us of washing the wheels with ACID! lol.
A knew a guy worked there and he told that they would also sell used tyres (like 90-95% tread) as new ones to customers who didn't have a clue, wasn't done allot but they did do it.
Since then i've made a promise and i'll never break it.

Tempe are cheap
and have a lot of happy customers.
People like cheap it would seem.
Tempe own that "7 day tyres and wheels" store on Parramatta Road, Granville, and one of the owners of Tempe tyres half owns "Payless Tyres" at Chullora.
I'm sure there's a lot more.
(Just like Russian porn sites ... the one outfit owns them all).
The wait can be a killer when they're busy, they can be a little tardy due to the amount of work they get through (the paint on my guard cracked a bit when my guards were rolled there), and the driveway has a stupid hill to get up (not fun in a lowered car).
But if you like cheap, they are for you :smilesandbanana:

Mrs Marco reports that the wheels and tyres have turned up at my place (less than two days after payment, so not bad) and the tyres still have the little moulding dags on them so they must be pretty close to brand new.
I'll have a good look over them when I get home and let you know how they stack up...
Couldn't be happier with how this has turned out. Unpacked the pallet when I got home last night - the wheels are in perfect, brand new condition and the tyres look like they've done less than 50km - still have the moulding dags on them as mentioned.
At a saving of $980 over just buying a new set of tyres, and with a spare set of wheels attached to them, I'm very pleased.
