Hi i was just about to order Zennetti S42's with 225/35/20 nankang ns-2.
I called a tyre shop and asked them if they would fit my VY Monaro , they said they would But i just wanted to check if they would Fitt without the GUards being rolled and if they need to be rolled does the tyre shop do that for you ?
Thankyou .

225s probably no unless they are a really bad offset.

What he said. :yup: Many tyre places now have guard rolling machines to do the job fairly safely with minimal chance of kinking the lip or cracking the paint. Before I realised they used machines I had a panel beater do mine - not really happy with the job - cracked paint. :(

On the weekend we just fitter 20"x8.5" rims with 225/35/20 tyres, (45 OFFSET) under my VY HBD, We found the left hand side was closer to the guard than the right, and was scraping a fair bit where the bumper and guard meet while under load (Taking off from a stand still). So we cut about 10cm in length and about 5mm wide off the guard/bumper.
So 5cm off the bumper at the top of it, and 5cm off the metal guard (Where it meets up with the bumper). so all up 10cm will be cut. If you take your time you can do really neat job so you can't tell you even cut anything :-)
We used a very thin 5" grinder blade, and a file..

i put 245/35/20 on my vy, took some doing had to roll both front and back guards and also put diffrent struts on the front with raised platforms, rubs a little when you go over a bump whilst turning but u get that i spose.
225s should be ok with a little rolling as said.

Just so you know those tyres are not rated to your car.
Get some 245/30/20
They need to be a 93 load index
