Hey guys, had my SS tested by a local tester down here in west melbourne, and the car just scraped in to pass the test with a final reading of 90dB. I got my EPA certification sheet (Pass Sheet) to fax through to them and all is done, however I haven't faxed it yet and can't for a couple of days due to the fact I need to fax it at work. Question is, I am worried that the EPA will not let me get off, even though I have passed the test, because the reading was just sitting on the limit (90dB). I am worried they will tell me to retest the vehicle as exhausts can deteriorate over time. Is this true? I have heard it happening to someone else on the forums when they attempted to clear their EPA with a reading of 90dB as well.

Seeming they are not open at the moment, can anyone ease my mind or add to my worries with any personal experience or word of mouth?

I can't see how, if the legislation states that 90db is a pass then they have no right to fail you given you car at this point in time gave a 90db reading. However if it says that it has to be below 90 well you can guess the rest.

Hope it all works out for you mate.
