Captiva Altezza Tail Lights

hi,

long time reader first time poster...

have seen a few captivas (lx etc - not maxx) getting around with the clear "altezza" tail lights which look very snappy.

i assumed these were an upgrade for the 60th anniversary models. i've contacted my local holden dealer (von bibra twin towns) and was told by the parts boys that these are definitely an aftermarket item.

does anyone know where to get them and/or has had any pos/neg experiences with them?

Then your right, they are 60th anniv. specials. Best go back to your dealer and tell them they're trippin'.

Your Holden Dealer guy probably meant and forgot to say that they are OE on the 60th Anniversary models and aftermarket on all others.

They've been available on the Korean Winstorm since 2007. Might see a version of them as OE on the Captiva facelift in late 2009, along with 6sp man/auto trannies and a diesel in the Maxx.

As much as some people bag the sh!t out of parts staff, questions like originally posted often depend on the person's "trainspotting" knowledge, as things like "chrome taillights" are not how things are listed in Microcat. Microcat is very specific with it's listings, and tells you exactly what model of a range had this part number, and what one had that one, not "these are your bling chrome lamps, and these aren't".
It usually takes someone very much into trainspotting model changes to answer those sort of questions, and since most people that come to the counter come in with absolutely no information other than "they're on a Captiva, you should know, you're a dealer", it's not always easy!

I'd like a set of headlights like the ones on the S3X concept. Not keen on the 60th Anniversary tail lights, again the concept car tail lights look alright IMO.
