hi ppl

just wondering how long coilovers last for as in how many kms in general? (just normal and a bit of spirited driving..)

Im just trying to see if its justified for the 2k price.

cheers

I've had coilovers in my 180sx drift car and they lasted over 50 drift meets before I sold the car and the coilovers were still good as new :)

If you get the good one's they normally last a while and they are rebuildable to boot.

They'll last as long as a good quality shock would, depends on how you drive, how low it sits etc though. And as said, they are rebuildable, so once you have them, you're not forking out 2-3K everytime the shock starts getting spongey.

not all coilovers out there are rebuildable...so beware

the Teins are definately rebuildable and a big reason why i chose them over others on the market.

Those coilovers can be quite expensive ... or cheap http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-98-BMW-3-SERIES-E36-COIL-OVER-COILOVER-SPRINGS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33582QQihZ005QQ itemZ150295763465QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

$19.95 for coilovers to suit a BMW ... Bargain :eyes:

I'm not suggesting that these are quality, but I have bought off this seller before and the delivery and product were extemely good.

I was dubious about getting Headlights for the 02 for literally US$2.95, but they came up trumps and were a piece of piss to install.

New light on the right obviously :p

Both installed

Of course, suspension is a little different to headlights.
But gee, there can be a big difference in pricing

Thanks guys for all the comments.

Yeah the factory shocks and springs I can feel are starting to wear out already. 43k so far. Feels like a boat when cornering. Suspension is important to me as there's no point having a fast car if you cant feel it can handle it.

Nice classic you got there Seedy. Geez those coilovers are cheap! And they go alright Seedy?

How much did you guys buy your coilovers for? and can you recommend a place?

cheers
