VZ to VY tailights

:headbang:Had a search for this and couldnt get a straight answer, do the VZ exec taillights fit onto the VYII SV8's and SS? im talking about the red ones with the clear stripe across them for the indicator and the reverse light... I want to simplify the back end so i think these will do the trick! :headbang:

All VZ lights will fit into VY as gasguz says, BUT you need to be careful with regard to reflectors, not all VZ taillights have reflectors incorporated into them, this is why several VZ models have reflectors fitted in the bumper (ie Calais and some SS SV8 packages). If you fit VZ lights to a VY and don't have reflectors your vehicle is not roadworthy and can be defected.

I'm sorry to the above posters, but as answered in AT LEAST two other threads, VZ Exec went to the larger VY Berlina style taillights, which will NOT fit in place of the smaller VY Exec/S/SS type lights!

Had a search before opening the thread, nothing was mentioned about VZ exec lights, only the VZ SS and SV6 and 8's lights fitting the VY, just making absolutley sure before I buy... cheers gentlemen and good night!! :)

yer i posted that in a previous thread, vz ss tail lights will fit a vy ss but you need the extension harnesses also, this is what i did to my car, i was informed that berlina/calais and hsv have the larger (taller) tail light arrangement, vy exec/sv8/sv8 and ss therefore will only fit models of the same design execpt vz exec, if that makes sense lol
