Air Conditioning Issue with VE Calais?

hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has ever had issues with the Air Conditioning swtiching itself on whilst driving?

My wife has said it has happened a few times but everytime i drive the car it never happens, so im just wondering if anyone else may have had a similar issue?

What do you mean exactly by "switching itself on"? If you have the climate control on Auto then it will switch itself on and off as required to hold the required temp.

Also when windscreen demister selected, cannot be turned off.

Thats what it's supposed to do demist screen using Aircon.

mine was intermittently turning off yesterday in my ve omega
it was a hot day and i had just put on extractors, and a check engine was on, so i had to check the o2 sensors - was fine during the first test drive
but low and behold one had come loose - so put it back in place, diconnected battery for 5 mins - hey presto!

but yesterday was a hot day >35deg, so probably played a part

hehe i had the aircon turn itself on a few times on its own. i noticed that the dial thing was set in a spot where the slighest movment would turn it on. all i did was just turnt it a little bit to 1 direction so then it was in a nutral posittion. it is like having a swtch flicked half on
