Things have been alittel quite on the Holden web iste of late but today it seems they have got something new to talk about, soc heck out what's new on the Holden website.
Some good reading (if not all new) on Diesel - LPG Dual Fuel - AFM - E85 Ethanol

But if your after the 6lt with AFM (DOD):
Active Fuel Management (AFM), available on all Holden V8 (automatic transmission) models from 2009 is an exciting new Holden technology that temporarily de-activates four of the eight engine cylinders when less engine power is required. :vpo: bummer

Yeah they are all the releases from the Sydney Motorshow.

Also worth noting, Theres a small line in a media release that says "Commodore Omega and Berlina are now fitted with the Premium High Feature V6 engine"
195kw Omegas and Berlinas with 5sp auto???

Hmm...doesn't actually say that it gets the 5 speed auto though, just says the Premium HFV6 as you point out.

True, just guessing. But Id say most of the economy gain from the premium engine is in the 5sp, and i figure It'd be funny them running the exact same spec engines with two autos. But ofcourse i could be wrong.
Might also mean the direct injection engine is close, for the premium v6 cars.

yeah i think you might be correct...the 5 speed is better than the 4 speed for sure.
So is the DOD technology only for automatic V8s?

Hang on though, doesn't the 180kW+4sp combo actually use less fuel than the 195kW+5sp (at least in the ADR81/01 official tests)? The test figures show 10.8l/100km for the current Berlina and 11.2l/100km for the Calais, for example.

I thought they would of used the L99.
why?
the L76 had the DOD (now AFM) gear, it just wasn't activated. The L98 basically is the L76 with the DOD gear removed. Well that was my understanding of it all.....
