Wondering if anyone has tried FRONT QFM K500 HIGH PERFORMANCE BRAKE PADS?

They are now available for VE HSV AP 4 pots. Price is $300 per set front and rear

They say they are Australian made and have been doing them for Harrop calkipers for a while.

After doing some more research I have been told by a distributor:

The QFM High Performance are a 500 degree C Brake Pad they are a copper brass compound not metal based so they are about 70% less harsh on your discs than genuine pads and let of around 70% less dust, we have had a a lot of guys buy them with no complains of noise or anything. They are available in 750 Degree C which are 40% less harsh on your discs and 40% less dust they are $420 each but are there as an option to you. The K500 is what a lot of guys go for being a lot less harsh and grip really well plus it keeps their rims a lot more clean but that's entirely up to yourself which way you want to go.

I have tried these and put OEM pads back in. From my experience they are a pad that needs more heat to work. I had these on my VTII R8 (performance brakes) set-up.

Maybe in the larger caliper and more piston pressure, they might bite better.

They are a good pad, and probably even better when pushed hard. Well priced to have as a second set even for those days.

I know I was trying to get DS2500 for mine, but stuck with OEM ones at that stage.

How did you find the brake dust?

70% brake dust REDUCTION SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE !

I hate the way the OEM pads dirty up the rims very quickly

I do a reasonable amount of mororsport and circuit work.

Albeit I only have DBA slotted rotors and using Castrol Synthetic Racing Fluid. I am on my 4th set of pads and put the QFM A1RM pads on about four mths ago and now swear by them. This is almost the longest I have had a set of pads on; and the QFM are still performing well.

They are good as daily driver and also the heat of the circuit. The longer I have em on the better they seem to get. I rekken aprox 80% less brake dust than my last set of Bendix.

Hence imho the K500s would hold up real well
