I would also like to know whats the best value for money.

Is it better to go OTR over a good filter and MAF pipe if you already have a Mafless tune?

There is assloads of difference between OTRs.

Many of the $150 OTR's seen on EvilBay are nothing short of rubbish. They're piss poor fibreglass copies of a once good OTR that Powertorque Engines produced.

A "decent" quality OTR will be around $400 starting price and probably go up from there.

With price generally comes quality. If you pay $150-$200 for an OTR ... you get a $150 OTR. Buyer's choice ultimately but beware when buying "cheap" OTRs.

Do a search for "EBay OTR" ... plenty of reading to found on this forum.

you also end up with a cheap crappy filter too... very often the K&N filter the rest of us run in the quality ones, you miss out on with the shitters...
you're best of always to pay good money straight up and do it properly, and only once...

ORRSOME. Love them and they put out grouse induction noise and produce good kw gains. Roughly 600 to 700 mark.
Good bang for buck IMO.

Cheers,

Andy.

I love my ORSSOM OTR – Noticeable difference in throttle response and combined with a Dan/ Chipmaster mail order tune overall now I have a great and responsive car.

If you want to listen to the induction noise take a look at YouTube - VE SS 2007 - ORSSOM OTR CAI Induction noise (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIO4iAMkQ9c) - Make sure you turn up the Vol!

DUS OTRCAI is the only one I would use.

They by far look like the most factory unit you can get.

A lot easier to talk your way out of it too when the cops pull you over.
