WH Caprice ignition barrel

I have serched around on ls1 and other sites and have found nothing certain to help me with what im about to explain.

Tonight i Unlocked my car turned it on and it wouldnt crank over, turned it off and it stayed on acc, put key back in and still did nothing. So now my car is stuck on acc, with no key in it, disconnected the battery and locked it manualy, since its a weekend cant get anyone to look at it so thought i would see if anyone else thought that it would be a ignition barrel problem since i know its pretty common? Also feels like there is no acc, just clicks once for turning cd on, then straight to turning the car on doesnt spring back ether.

There is a little tab on the back of the barrel that turns the switch. This can snap off.

Take the covers off and remove the switch from the back of the barrel and you should find the broken part. If this is the case you will need a new barrel installed.
