A big congradulations to all the fellas @ APS Frankston for the hard work in yesterdays sweltering heat to come away with a second placing in the 9.99 and under bracket.
Early in the day the heat had affected the performance of the shop car and Rob the driver was having to be very gentle with the car resulting in consistant but slower times than its average. Staying determined Mick @ Aps fston kept tweaking the tune to suit the intake temps which were sapping precious ponys. With the tune sorted Rob could give the car full beans but by this stage the HOOSIERS were cactus and the times were suffering at the 60 foot! So getting heat into the tyres was quickly canned in an effort to just smoke them to hell to win an HSV Jacket offered to the baddest burnout before run. Staying focused on the pass Rob evertually peddled the car into the finals for a second placing as result.
Thanks again to Street Commodores for the day, Russell and Joanne @ Heathcote Park and last but not least the crazy pit crew that kept tyres pressures regulated, fuel topped up and ice up to the blown monster all day. GOOD WORK!
Cheers Naith
