Start up???

My VE SS has done 36,000 kms and if left for 3 or 4 days without starting I get the clicking of tappets when I first start it for around 4 seconds-I never noticed it in the past just lately-should I worry? try different oil? Its serviced at Holden and I just use there normal oil, not mobil 1...

Gday mate,
Is your oil pressure gauge still showing normal readings. If so change your oil it may have lost its viscosity. You will allways get some form of flow back from your lifters but if its that loud that you are worried i would change oil first then see what happens.

It's not that loud I suppose but just something I've never heard from this car-Oil pressure gauge shows correct reading also..If I drive everyday theres no problem at all-weird hey..

Nar not weird lifters will drain after a few days but better too ask hey i would do the same with noises.:goodjob:
