I was trying to find a thread from last year with the search function and had no luck, I'm sure the search parameters I gave should have found it. Since I contributed to the thread I thought of using the "show all posts by this user" (me) option in the profile page, it only listed my last 80 posts though - I realise you probably cull the posts but do they all go after a certain time?

the search I was doing was for "area under curve" and "kinetic", it was a thread discussing what the area under a dyno graph represented. I tried public and private as well as changing the "posts since" option.

Techo type posts are kept for life, but non techo threads are deleted after, I think, 3 months. Thats why its imperitive to post in the correct forum as mods have enough to do without moving posts to the correct forum so they escape the axe...

thanks for the info, I'm pretty sure it was a deviation from a general thread topic, so it is most likely gone. All I can remember is a few of us somehow nutted out area under curve = power*torque -> lots of maths -> kinetic energy*ave accel.
