Had problems with my doors locking and was told I need a new BCM. Holden quoted me $280 for a new 1 including 2 keys and would take an hour to an hour and a half to fit. Had the car back for a week and all fixed. I recieved the bill in the mail and there was 2 1/2 hours labour. I went to the dealer and they told me that my car has ISS which is an inbedded security system and the had to email HSV and get codes and it took alot longer due to this ISS. They told me not alll HSV's have this. Mine is the first they have seen. My question is has anyone ever heard of this.

Some info,
Sorry if you already know this info.
The HSV Integrated Security System (ISS) is a microprocessor-controlled immobiliser, which automatically provides isolation of three or more of the vehicles essential circuits every time the ignition is switched off. The immobiliser is disarmed using a unique coded tag, which contains a small chip with a specific code to provide maximum security.
The electronic module has been designed so that in the event of power loss (flat battery or theft attempt) the system will return to the same operating state when power is restored, e.g. if system is armed when power is disconnected, it will return to the armed condition when power is restored.
The ISS appears to be a standard fitment to the VS II HSV range.
WH Grange was the first HSV model to be fitted with the HSV security system called ESS or Embedded Security System. It is the third generation of HSV’s benchmark ISS security system and is a micro-processor controlled immobiliser that automatically interrupts four essential electrical circuits when armed and prevents the vehicle from being started.
Seems to have been around a while...
Hope this helps...

If you have seen where the BCM is, you can understand how the labour charge + stuffing around with ISS would be about right ;)
