I have noticed on the Holden website that Commodore prices have increased $500 with no extra features and most of the extras prices have gone up as well.(eg: metallic paint now $500 extra).
Being that the Commodore is over 2 years old and sales dwindling I find this unusual.
Maybe they are increasing price now before VF arrives so that when VF is released they can say that the new model is same price as old model.

Possible VF link .

Could be the falling AUS dollar aswell.

I'd say the imports are going to rise in price more so.

Inflation is around 5% per year.
Cars usually have very modest price rises compared to inflationary increases of staples, like food for example.

I have a mate looking for a VE ute - most dealers have just received their November pricing and he noted there are some really good drive away deals going at the moment ...

I've noticed colour for the SSV have been juggled: Crunch is gone and Ignition has returned ??

Also... new style of 20inch wheel option too..http://C:\C:\Documents and Settings\Sam\Desktop\Fluxus_wheel_17july0812247315 55243

Crunch was deleted a couple of months back IIRC but I'm surprised to see that Ignition has made a comeback - maybe people were still asking for it? Doesn't look as though they're offering the orange dashboard again though.

Anyway, car prices go up over time - I'd be surprised if anyone at all was paying RRP for a Commodore in the current sales climate anyway!

Exactly, those prices are irrelevant ... its what the dealer agrees to that matters.
