my mate crashed his sv6 and i have laid claim on it's wreck, im thinking of putting the engine transmission and all that in to my ute.
im going to have to do this in stages as i dont have the funds.
i have a few questions.
can i put its lsd into my ute( its an ecotech engine), ive heard that it does not go too well?
and can i fit the brakes straight onto my car too?
any help would be appreciated and any suggestions.

vz brakes are apparently worse than vy brakes.

the lsd will work but they are like 2.89 ratio or some shit.

you selling any interior parts? let me know :D (interested in a few things)

cheers

His insurer and finance company may have first claim to the car even if your mate is happy for you to take the wreck.

As for the change over....it's your money I guess.

SV brakes have surely got to be better than my stock standard ones. plus they have a nice coloured caliper not rusted like mine.

ill have to find out about interior.
i already claimed the steering wheel, and the head unit is buggered

he already has the wreck at his place managed to get it. its been off the road for a good 3 months now too

Same brakes

:yup:

asfaik holden only offered two types of brakes during the VT-VZ run... the standard on all models exec - SS and then on the latr top models, monaro, SSZ, Thunder they had the PBR system which had 320mm rotors, vented discs front/back and slightly bigger calipers.

Yep your right...i think our SS (mid 06 SS 6L) has the slightly larger brakes.

yep, they'll be RED with PBR and either a holden logo or SSZ written in silver... same as mine :)
