Wanted either a complete 3.45:1 ratio diff., or just the gears to suit the VE.

Try give russo performance a call i am sure they have a set of 3.4 diff gears there they can install them for you to.:)

What are standard VE SS diff gears and are these still available?

ve ss has 3.4 diff gears in the manual and yes they are still available.:)

The Manual has 3.45 and Auto has 2.92 fitted.
