Mods,

Any chance we can disable the IM chat window via our user CP?

I can't access this website from work as it has an active chat window and is classified as "chat" by our secure firewall. Maybe others are in the same vote...?

i may well be in the same boat, the site is blocked but not sure of the reason. makes sense though as no other forum i visit is blocked.

Im not being a smart ass here but what if while your at work you dont sign in that way you will be on as a guest and it wont come up. Thats if u cant disable it.

The ones that are validated also have access to extra theads, thus wanting to sign in.
There IS a way to disable it in the CP, hang on, ill look,..

Am I going blind or is the chat window gone? I thought it may be disabled but I can't find any options for on/off?

disabling the IM chat feature didn't help me with access from work.

This will not resolve your issue.

This website would have been placed in a "Restricted Site list", this is usually organised by Categories.. ie) Chat (forums), Games, Adult etc.

You will need to contact your internet security department and ask them to remove this site, although you will probably find your AUP states you're not allowed to use messageboards and the like for personal reasons.

I do believe he is validated...

He wasn't when I posted. His validated status was deactivated when he didn't keep his email address up to date.
