I had new brake pads put in frount and back, the pedal is now very spongie,I never thought that the brake pedal felt solid, but now it is very poor .It still stops OK but does fill you with confidence, any idea,s,could air be trapped in the ABS set up

Shouldn't have needed to crack the hydraulics to swap pads, but it may be prudent to get the entire system fully bled and put good fluid through - it may bring an improvement to feel. Otherwise, look into some aftermarket kits - OEM Commodore brakes are inadequate at best.

I've got a Crewman and have had the same sort of probs. I've started a couple of threads on it and have come to the conclusion that it's just the way it is...which sucks!
I dont notice it until i drive another car, and then mine feels totally crap in comparison. Dont foget that a Crewy weighs nearly 2 tones and has the same brakes as sedans and utes.
If you want to REALLY loose confidence in your brakes... next time you're at a set of lights push your foot HARD on the brakes and keep pushing, mine goes to the floor after a couple of mins.... apparently that's normal:confused:
