Intriguingly, Holden managed to sell two examples of the seemingly long-dead Monaro (unless it has registered two new cars with the same name – could these be VE Commodore coupes?)

It was only posted in here the other day that a VZ Monaro was spotted
at a dealership (brand new). Might be few floating around. Those
Turismo ones are probably pretty hard to offload.

There's still a "brand new" demo GTO Coupe with only 200kms.... so maybe a few Monaro's still hanging around here and there

It must be 2 years since they stopped making the Monaro, hard to believe there would be any unsold being such a popular car.

Yes, agree, best looking aussie car ever imo. If I didn't have
3 little people I would have one in a heartbeat.
The VZ GTO that is.

Or you could have one of these if they would build it ?

Salespeople found it really hard moving the last of them once VE came out, even though there wasn't an actual 2 door VE to compete with.

Holden is having enough trouble with its four-door range, can't see a rebirthed Monaro being on the cards.

I think the Coupe60 was just Holden's way of stealing the spotlight away from the FG Falcon at the Melbourne Motor Show - which it did.

And also gauge public reaction to the styling for the VF.

I'd say really toned down stlyings from the Coupe60....especially the front spoiler design.

I think Gateway Holden down here still have a Yellow GTO coupe in there showroom. I remember a while ago they had about 7 GTO coupes lined up out the back off the lot. Don't think their there anymore though...

You are right mate...

I often go and leave saliva on the paint of the yellow GTO whilst getting my "wash for life".
