some quick advice

my mate has a set of monaro cv8 fe2 springs for sale.

will these fit into a 05 vz executive? if so will it lower it and give better handling or should i just get king spring lows ?

The Fe2's should fit mate but I hope your not paying more than a fiver each for em. In all honesty I would wait and get properly matched springs and shocks as the executive shocks won't be any good with lowered springs .... I know as I did the same once before.

Yep, agree with you Enforcer. Second hand FE2 springs (or even new) are worth 2/3 of SFA. Given the labour costs involved in swapping and the cost of the alignment I would only consider doing it if he sold you the full set of FE2 springs and shocks for under $100 as it won't lower it much at all - that's why so many of us on here who like the look and handling of lowered cars immediately replace the FE2.

Otherwise save your money and do it properly (IMHO). :)

Thanks for the great advice guys, you seriously just saved me. Being new to the commo scene after a big absence i really just though gear out of a better model = better gear for me. easy mistake to make thou.
