My 9" and 10" DTM Shines get fitted to my uterus tomorrow. 9" with 245's for the front and 10" with 275's for the rears! :)

Then it's off to get her lowered, maybe rolling of the guards if need be.

I'ds say no/maybe to the guard rolling. Obviously depends on the height to which your going to lower it.
I run 20x8.5 245 front and 20x10's with 285's rear and they dont scrub even when towing my boat over some of country Vics finest pieces of shit they call roads.
My SSV ute is lowered with Kings ssl rear and sl front.

sounds good

yes u will have to roll the gaurds if your gonna lower it.
if its only normal coils and one stage lower than it will be fine.

if u go lower with coilovers or Kings springs make rears even lower...then rubbing with more than u in the car over bumps and movements in the road for sure!

Ive got mine lowered nearly 2 inchs in rear about 1inch at front. And ive got 20's in DTM Flairs. No rubbing wat so ever. even wit shit in the back. Im having 22's fitted soon. At worst they reckon mild roll of guards.

Well they're on and I reckon I will be able to lower at least an inch @ the rear and maybe 20mm @ the front and should be good to go without guard rolling while still being able to use it as a ute if need be!! We'll see. I'll post some pics up as soon as I get the camera out!

I have 255/35/20 on the front and 275/30/20 on the rear and it had Kings SSL front and rear and with passengers in the back (sedan) and it did scrub. Got the rears changed to SL's and not a problem so far. The ar$e was lifted about 10mm with the SL's.

When we changed them out we couldn't find any marks on the tyres or guards. So it must have just been nicking the lip so rolling with SSL's may be required. This also depends on the offset of your rims. My offset must be about 10mm wider than the 20" supersports.

I wouldn't want the car any lower in QLD, the difference between a bush track and QLD roads is the lack of bush. It also seems that people don't know how to make a speed bump in QLD either. Some seem to think that the big table top speed bumps are a good idea. The week end after lowering it i managed to scrub the front lips coming off one of these.

Hope this helps,

Stu.

Here she is!!!! :) I can't wait to lower the girl down now!

This shot shows how much room I have to play with to lower her @ the front! I reckon I can lower her about 25mm @ the front.

Here's the back end! Here I reckon I can lower her about 35-40mm @ the back. Remember I still want to be able to at least chuck a few dead bodies in the back without any scraping! :nyuk:

I don't know what the rims are worth as I bought the rims and tyres as a package for $3500.

Nice! Love the dish on the DTM Flairs and Shines! :yup:

It took me nearly 5 months to make up my mind between the Flairs and the Shines. If I had a sedan I would have gone with the Flairs but I think the utes look better with the Shines.
One thing I didn't know about the Shines is that the inner dish and the outside edge of the spokes are actually painted a gun metal grey. I hadn't actually seen the rims in person except for pics on the internet and it is hard to actually see. When I look at the pics on the internet now I can see they're painted but only just!
I would like to have had the rim all silver/titanium. However I am still very happy with them thanx to Scotty @ Tech9Tyres!

:)

I measured the height of the vehicle and the front from guard to the centre of the wheel is 388mm and the rear is 415mm.
