Would fitting a Carbra such as the one from the below link have a negative effect on an OTRCAI, mainly the GenAiration 4?

id say yes, i actually dyno'd my ve with and with out the car bra on with the std intake setup. The car bra reduced power by 8-10rwkw.
Any air intake that solely takes air from through the bonnet gap would be serverly restricted as the opening in the car bra is slightly smaller than the grille areas on the front of the car.
If your looking to buy an otr and the car bra is an important factor than id be looking at otr's that draw air from the grille area to keep a maximum of performance.
You will only use the car bra on the hwy so does the slight power loss really matter for when you have it on? if not than it wouldn't matter what otr you had as all i beleive would be compramised in some way just some more so than others.

Hi Booger, have you thought about a clear car bra? Does'nt restrict any air flow & it's on 24/7, I've had one for over 12months & would'nt be without it....absolutly "love it"....Even had bat sh*t on it, but it has left a mark on it :bawl:duco is still fine though...cheers:)

Delft Calais,
That's quite a drop in power. I would need to have it on all the time because most of my driving is hwy.
Mix 6000 & CLUBRED,
I had know idea this stuff even existed that's amazing. Thanks very much for the info this is definately what I'll be going for.
