Hey mate,
Look up under the dash and around the clutch pedal. There is a spring up there that you will see can be removed . The spring helps the pedal be pulled to the floor when it reaches the half way point apparantly to help assist the pedal to be lighter. Havnt taken mine out yet but will get around to it.

Cheers,

Andy.

G'Day ROGRSS,
When you look up under the dash at the pedals, have you got a flat plastic cover above the pedals that covers up the pedal pivots and springs ect? I was going to have a look at the clutch pedal spring set up, but it's all hidden by the plastic cover. Was just wondering if the plastic cover simply unclips by pulling down, as I don't want to break it trying to get to the clutch pedal spring? Did you end up trying the clutch action with the spring removed? Thanks. :)

Hi mick i pulled the cover off just clips in from the back... but i didnt remove spring. Looks like it would be hard to put back on if i remove it. So i wana make sure it does help to remove spring ???

I pulled my spring out and didn't find the feel of the pedal any different , just the pedal would not come back in line with the brake pedal mine's going back in when i get the time , i have been told that removing the spring can help with the stock clutch staying down on high rev gear changes

Thanks ntae. :goodjob: Think i might leave it in for now till i get some evidence that it does actually help..

Thanks Rogrss & Ntae, Might leave mine alone as well, unless I hear a bit more positive feed back about the mod as well.

have taken the spring off a while ago...
the pedal was harder than with it on to push in and out but not that much difference

spring there to assist clutch pedal going in and out as its a dual spring...u will see what i mean when u take it off.
also had the clutch stick to the floor at the drags...took the spring off and no issues when i went out after i took it off.

have the spring back on now with the new clutch to take a little bit of the bite off the hi performance clutch i have in now

Also to take the spring off u need to take off the cover above the pedals.
clips in each corner and one screw where the plug is for Tech2, etc
