Are the rear brake calipers on a hsv ve the same size as a w427?

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but the W427 comes with 6 piston front and 4 in back. But the HSV in VE range come with 4 in front and 2 in back. However 6 piston are an option I think.

I think you are thinking of the FPV's. Non W427 HSV's were all 4/4 calipers, with no other factory option.

Re E series vs W427 caliper size, both are 4 piston calipers on the back.

I have a feeling the rear 4piston brakes on a W427 are not the same as the 4piston rear brakes on a VE HSV.
