Hey Guys

I have a 05 vz ss,manual

Its got a full x force system, twin 3inch, extractors, hi flow cats and cat back. (don't know the full specs)

OTRCAI.

Mafless tune

The car made 225rwkw

Does this seem low to anybody?

No, not necessarily on what you've given us - why don't you provide us with all of the information to make an assessment? 5.7lt, I assume? Output at rear wheels before mods, etc.

Cheers,

Macca

As long as it made it fun to drive do the numbers really matter?. When mine went in for tune, otr it had 190rwkw. Came out with 221rwkw. When i heard them say it made 221 i was a bit dissapointed. But as soon as i drove it i wasnt terribly worried about the number anymore.

I agree that its much funnier to drive atm

That's a bit of a worry. No insinuation on you, but have you swapped cars or had someone else drive yours to make sure it's not to do with the driver as in a manual the pedaller can make all the difference. Different dynos can vary widely in their readings - the important bit is the difference between readings before and after mods and your difference is in the right ballpark.

if your that worried about the dyno sheet just get a redyno on another dyno not for a wank factor just see if they are similiar..

non taken mate. we have both driven each others car. cant really notice a diffrent between them. I should say that i JUST by a inch pull on him

Im not to worried about the power i just thought for what i have it seems low?

Thanks for the advice

I think its time for a re tune and a cam!

thats a good gain.. its not about the final figure its about the gain..

My mate made about 10kw more with the same mods and a manual VY SS but his stock figure was about 10kw more than yours so it works out roughly the same..

As stated just depends what dyno as they all read and operate different.

mate if its time for a cam then get it re-tuned on a different dyno...but at the end of the day if it feels good the dyno rwkw figure is just a number.:)

I had a 02 CV8 Auto and it made an additional 43 rwkw with the same mods as your talking about... but once i drove it i forot all about the number because the car was soooo good to drive.. good luck with the Cam, let us know how it goes.

Gday mate,
Its all about the buzz you get from driving the car after the mods. You soon get used to that buzz and hunt the next mod. Dont stress too much about dyno figures as on exactly the same dyno the next day the figure can change. Dyno's are never perfect and weather, etc. can change the results. If its fun to drive then you have achieved something .
Keep up the modding and you will be happy no matter what the figures show.

Cheers,

Andy.
