Hi all, I’m new to this forum and quads. I was thinking of purchasing a few quads for wife and kids to ride for family recreation on weekends and understand that you can’t ride them on public trails and only on private property.
Does anyone know of any good and family friendly spots to ride quads on legally in Victoria? I’ve been doing some research and came up with nothing so far.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Get TAC cover (roughly $55 for a quad in VIC), that way you can approach anyone with some land and ask if you can ride around..Explain to them that they (and you) are covered by TAC insurance.
Natn'l park's, dunes etc are ALL out of bound's...NO rec rego for quad's, and not looking like it for some time.(been waiting 4 years now)
Maybe look at the QRCV (http://www.qrcv.com.au) website, they have orgynised rides on private property..Namely Stump Hill farm in Melbourne.
Failing that, Bacchus Marsh motorcomplex allows quad's, even has a kid's track anyone on a quad can putt around..They were talking of putting in an enduro loop too, but as ive been out of quads for a couple of years ive lost contact.
Failing that, you could try Swan Lake dunes near the SA border...Highly illegal...Or Kingston in SA...The QRCV have a block over there with awesome dunes and have an annual ride there in November.
Other than that, your screwed unless you go to Frankston or Broady mx track...Avoid Nunawadding as it's like an SX track compared to the other's.
Oh and there's land you can ride on in Laverton.
