Hey guys,
I am looking at getting a set of 4 into 1 extractors and 3.5" sureflow cat back.
Just want to know how the ground clearance is with this type of setup, i had a look at a few video's on the net and it seems to hang down a fair bit. My car is not lowered so I'm pretty sure I wont have an issue.
Just want to check with you guys to see if you have had any issues with it hitting or scrapping on speed bumps or gutters etc...
Cheers,
Doylie

This is mine, as you can see its pretty low and I am yet to have a problem with clearence, as i was told the middle of you rear wheels is the lowest point with this system. As said I have not had any dramas yet and sounds amazing!

No clearance issues for me (stock hieght Monaro). Just a thought, if you're getting headers & exhaust - you might also want to splash out on a set of hi flow cats as well (might as well get the whole lot done at once !!!!)

I had a VZ SSZ ute which was lowered and honestly I had better clearance with the 3.5 single than the stock system.
I had the sureflo hi flow cats, sureflo HPC extractors and 3.5 single. Great bloody system.... :)

hey there,
i have a vyss ii , and to be honest it depends where you live. Over here they dont have any size for the humps, so you get to see all different types and sizes. My 4>1 headers are fairly low and if i have 1 or 2 people in my car it seems to scratch the speed humps. SO if you live in an area with very low humps or no humps at all go for it.

My sureflo doesn't scrape but my damn hi flow cats do if I'm not very careful on speedbumps :D

Awesome - thanks to everyone that replied.
I was hoping it would be ok - from what I have herd its got to me the tuffest sounding system out there.
Now i just need to decied whether to go medium or loud...
Do the loud systems tend to be relly loud when just crusing or only when you up it ??

I went for the "quiet" system. You can potter around & not attract any undue attention - but it sounds pretty good under throttle.
"Medium" is a pretty good compromise, "loud" would probably get a bit annoying after a while.

The Medium on a bolt on car is pretty quiet. You should try and have
a listen to a few and see how loud you want it. The medium is also
very quiet inside the car and zero drone with a M6 at any revs, so
awesome in that respect.
Me to go 3.5" sureflow on standard HSV suspension..... No scrape issues at all !! Thats not the problem thought its the bloody body kit... Front spoiler on entry/exit level leaves me no paint, even scraped rear bumper other month now that made me scream.......

i agree mate, i have DF 4into1s, hi flow cats and a LOUD sureflo 3.5, the extractors do hang bloody low so my cats do scrape when im not careful, my car only has king lows in it too, but i wouldnt trade the noise for anything :D
cheers

I have Genie Tri Y with Sureflow medium system on my SS and wish I got the loud one. The exhaust gets quieter over time as the soot builds up inside. The cats catch on speed humps if I take them too quickly and that is even considering the car sits higher than standard due to the larger diameter rims. Amazing how people will get different experiences running identical parts.
